Social Media Specialist | Camphill Village Minnesota, Inc.

Camphill Village Minnesota has an opening for a Social Media and Online Marketing Specialist in their residential program with adults with developmental disabilities. This person will help grow awareness of Camphill Village MN in the wider community through Social Media, in a way that feels personal and human; help recruit live-in volunteers that are a good fit for our current anticipate needs; and advertise about Camphill Village MN to create greater brand awareness within circles that involve intentional communities, disability, sustainable farming, and Anthroposophy through online marketing

Job Description:

● Collect content from volunteers for social media

● Create and post 3-5 static posts on Facebook and Instagram weekly. Interact with those who contact us, comment, reply to messages etc.

● Update the Squarespace website www.camphillmn.org as needed

● Create 2-4 video shorts to use on all Social Media platforms.

● Maintain and update the YouTube channel

● Assist with volunteer recruitment by posting positions to differnet websites and social media.

● Take photos of the community to update social media and the website

● Organize the creation of video for promotional materials (as needed)

● Advertise events to the wider public

● Graphic design work working alongside of the community

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications or 1 - 3 years of experience in marketing

● Fluent in the English language with excellent writing skills

● Interest in providing new approaches to marketing challenges, and learning new things

● Competent with Google Docs and Sheets

● Self-starter with the ability to manage one’s own time and responsibilities

● Team player and natural collaborator

● Experience with social media marketing

Salary, Benefits and Schedule: This position is a part-time position working approximately 16 hours per week at $20/hr. Hybrid work from home and in the office, schedule is optional after an initial period. This role does not require living in the community although participating in community is welcomed.
