The Woodshop here at CVM was built between 1990 and 1991 and houses a fully operating workplace consisting of various power and hand tools to create everything from toys to furniture as well as handling a lot of the village's maintenance needs. Rudolf Steiner believed that woodworking would not only further intellectual development but also the development of the person as a whole. It is through this impulse we have created a therapeutic setting that provides enjoyable and meaningful tasks using a variety of different woods (many locally harvested) that enriches our community.
We sell our wood products at craft fairs and to people who come and fall in love with our inventory. The cutting boards make beautiful gifts! Call or send us an inquiry if you're interested in seeing what our Woodshop has to offer!
